I'll admit it. I'm one of those people who actually get EXCITED to see Christmas decorations on the shelves in mid-October. I listen to Christmas music year-round. I actually start celebrating Christmas internally on July 4th. You probably want to punch me in the face. But to me, Christmas isn't just one day, it's an entire PORTION OF THE YEAR. In fact, if being an Elf were an actual occupation, I would probably be that instead of a wedding photographer. Because I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!
So you can imagine my sheer delight when I got a call from Sawyer & Co + Harmon's Barton's to come do the photography for their upcoming Holiday Specials line. I was even more excited when I arrived for the shoot and Christmas music was playing in the shop while the designers were busy preparing fall orders. Pumpkins and "Sleigh Ride"? I'll take it! It was great to see Sam and catch up a little bit since our last photo shoot together for their fall line. I even got to see a new part of the store that they are remodeling and will be turning into their production area - way cool.
There were some gorgeous hardwood floors that were discovered under some old turquoise tile that was removed for the remodel, and it sure made for a great setup for this clean, modern and raw photo shoot. I felt inspired to have the beautiful Christmas colors against a rustic yet clean palate - less clutter for a fresh take. I may have gotten a little carried away with giddiness when I could smell the pine from the wreath. It just means CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!
If you are getting married and you need a wedding photographer or cinematographer, I'd love to speak with you about your day! 207-808-2151 or weddings@207weddings.com
