I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Dana & Patrick are just the best! When we pulled up to Dana's super cute house, it definitely set the tone for the whole day. The sun was out, but not too bright, there was a light breeze, and the birds were singing their hearts out. When we went into her house, everything looked like it belonged in a magazine. The nautical theme was on point, lobster trap and all. Dana's little fur boy, Dukie was wondering what the heck was happening, and why all of these people were in his house. He was very well behaved, though! You could feel the anticipation and excitement with every passing minute as bridesmaids shuffled around helping to get decorations, flowers and bags in order. From there, it was some pictures in front of the house while emotions ran high, and the maid of honor (the bride's bestie) started to cry in a wave of overwhelming love. It was beautiful! Then, it was game time and the pace changed to become a bit of a blur.
The limo arrived, everyone piled in, and went to the church - we were 20 minutes late! I remember running to the church, setting up as everyone was heading down the aisle, the beautiful Dana gracefully sweeping down to the altar, then I remember sweet Patrick saying something funny in his vows, the church bursting with smiles and laughter, and then everyone sweeping off to Cape Elizabeth. The details completely elude my memory. I'm pretty sure that was all adrenaline's doing. It's a good thing I got everything on film because otherwise I wouldn't be able to remember the moments. I can't imagine how even more that was the case for Dana & Patrick. But that's why I do what I do - encapsulating moments so couples can witness what may have passed them by in a blurry moment! PHEW!
